Synthetic material has many advantages:

• The synthetic material is easier to keep clean and dries faster, and it also retains its softness and shape longer than regular sheepskin.
• Sand that enters the protector easily comes out again, which reduces the risk of chafing.
• More comfortable and softer fit.
• Lasts longer. Regular sheepskin tends to become more yellow in color, dry out, and become stiff over time, while the synthetic material stays nice for longer.
